Student of the Month

The award for student of the month goes to, drumroll please, Tori Stephens!
Tori won the Student of the Month award for March 2014 at Bowie High School because of her excellent grades and good doing in her community.
“I was very excited when they told me I’d received the award,” stated Stephens when asked about the honor.
A junior at Bowie, Tori works very hard to keep her grades in check. “I want to attend Texas State, so I spend hours studying to keep my grades up,” said Stephens.
“Ms. Stephens is a great candidate for this award because she’s an exemplary student and role model,” stated Mr. Cain when asked why Stephens was chosen for the honor.
This award has many responsibilities that not just anyone can fulfill. “Someone who wants to receive this award should definitely keep their grades up and stay motivated. Also, goal setting is very important,” stated Stephens when asked what her advice to students wanting this award would be.
Tori is also on the Bowie Cheer leading team. “It is hard to balance everything, but I really like the satisfaction of being involved in several things,” said Stephens.
While Tori rarely has any free time, there are a few things she enjoys doing. “I love photography and journalism, and that is what I would eventually like to major in,” said Stephens.
As if Tori didn’t already have enough on her plate, she also manages to make time for friends and family. “My family is very proud of me, and hopes I continue to excel,” said Stephens.
